Hi Rick,
I need help. I am in love with a BPD woman and fell into the white knight syndrome. Now, she says I am her best friend. However, she gets pissed off at me for even calling her sweet heart because everyone thinks that we are a couple when we are together. I made the mistake early on of turning her down for sex because I wanted a relationship. Now, six months later, I am totally friend zoned except she always wants me to bring her stupid shit when she showers and gets jealous when I talk to other women. How do I make this into a dating scenerio?

It all starts with mindsets. That’s why all of my programs are about what the correct mindsets are to succeed in dating and relationships. The White Knight mindset you speak of is the common ‘I’m a man, I’m a provider’ mindset. This mindset is very common, yet completely obsolete in this day and age because women don’t need providers anymore :)

Hi .. I need some serious help and advice.. I am on the verge of breaking up with my bpd boyfriend for 11yrs. We have been best friends for the first 7yrs, but finally he stopped denying his feelings for me and admitted them. I did not know he had bpd until 2yrs ago when I started researching on his hot and cold behaviour.. ur spot on he’s so addictive but he can just switch off from the caring loving emotional available man to a cunt.. I didn’t know how to handle this behaviour and kept chasing him everytime he withdrew emotionally and treated me like shit . By now he knows I am over invested .. he’s had few relationship in past nothing serious as he says he’s not good at them. He admits I am the only one who’s strong enough to deal with him and stand up against him when needed.. but I am draining and lately we have been having constant arguments as he has stopped putting the effort in the relationship which leaves me feeling used unloved and unvalued. Ofcourse I hv strong feelings for him and want to know if there is anything I can do to turn this around and save my friendship/ relationship of 11yrs. Thanks

I am a 40 year old woman with BPD. I called off my one year relationship with my boyfriend coz we were fighting a lot. We both were severely co-dependent.
Though I broke off with him but I’m feeling lonely, miserable and occasionally suicidal.
The moment im with myself it becomes unbearable. Otherwise I’m managing to barely distract myself.
I’m eating very poorly and sleeping with the help of pills.
I live alone with no family support of any sort so that makes it all the more gloomy and dark for me.
How do I come back to Life again? I smile but I’m shattered and lost within. Please help.

You need to work on your codependency. I suggest going through my courses as well as practicing meditation. You’re WAY too emotional over this. Perhaps you have a fear that you’ll never find another guy. But, that’s not true. Plenty of single men out there. You also need to socialize. Call up your girlfriends and go have a ladies night. Several of them! You need to get out of your apartment and get out into the world.
